Job Summary:
The professional will operate and monitor various stages of ore processing—from crushing and grinding to leaching and filtration—ensuring operational control and safety.
Key Highlights:
1. Operating crushing and grinding equipment while monitoring processes.
2. Controlling and operating gravity separation and hydrocyclone circuits.
3. Collecting samples and controlling reagents.
Job Responsibilities:
Crushing:
* Interface with Mine Operators (crushing feed, blended feed, stockpile yard disposition);
* Operate all equipment (hopper, vibrating feeder, jaw crusher, belt conveyor, scrap extractor, metal detector, emergency switches, rip switches, speed sensor, scale, and other equipment);
* Report to Operator III for decision-making, anticipating potential issues such as ore shortage, jamming, overload, energy isolation; crusher calibration;
Grinding:
* Operate and monitor field feeding and discharge of grinding equipment; responsible for the entire grinding area;
* Collect samples at mill feed and discharge; perform scale drop tests; support roller replacement; clean load cell chambers of scales;
* Operate and monitor gravity separation circuit (gravity concentrators, basket cleaning, inspection, water filter cleaning, area inspection);
* Inspect equipment including pumps, screens, cyclones, and mills;
* Clean the area manually using hand tools (shovel, hoe, handcart/wheelbarrow);
* Clear obstructions in ore transfer chutes;
* Operate hydrocyclone circuit (flow rate, pressure, liner replacement, apex and vortex inspection, inspection and sample collection);
* Operate Acacia reactor (intensive leaching); support cartridge (filter element) replacement; collect samples; conduct transfers;
* Prepare reagents;
* Inspect vibratory and linear screens (screen and module replacement, unblocking water sprays);
CIL/CIP/LEACHING/DETOX:
* Sample collection (pulp density, pH, oxygenation, carbon profile, soluble gold sample, cyanide titration);
* Carbon handling and carbon production;
* Starting and stopping agitators and pumps;
* Tank draining;
* Cleaning containment basins;
* Cleaning and inspecting inter-stage screens;
* Cleaning carbon production and safety screens; screen and module replacement;
* Pump inspection, gland packing adjustments, pump start-up and shutdown;
* Operate TAC—cyanide analyzer—and dosage control;
* Handle chemical products;
* Prepare reagents;
* Control pH;
* Work with lifting operations, high-pressure washers, overhead cranes, NR35, NR33, NR12, NR06, NR22;
* Knowledge and training on CIC (International Cyanide Code);
* Interface with all departments and the Control Room;
Elution:
* Control temperature, pressure, flow rate, and time;
* Clean and replace heat exchangers and strainers;
* Operate boiler;
* Operate and collect samples (control electrolysis inlet and outlet—electrolytic cells);
* Control and operate acid washing;
* Titrate samples (cyanide, soda ash, hydrochloric acid);
* Interface with all departments—transfer of enriched and exhausted carbon;
* Clean and organize work area (5S);
* Support maintenance during equipment shutdowns;
* Focus on all KPIs (cost control, production, safety indicators);
* Operate pumps, start-up and shutdown;
Filtration:
* Filtration operation;
* Thickener operation (torque, rack, density, reagent dosing control);
* Pump operation control, start-up and shutdown;
* Moisture content control;
* Direct interface with all departments (ensuring UF operational continuity);
* Hand over equipment to Maintenance according to scheduled shutdowns;
* Support Maintenance and shutdowns, including corrective ones;
Wastewater Treatment Plant (ETE) and Water Treatment Plant (ETA):
Operate the entire water reuse system;
Control water inflow and outflow;
Ensure all treatment stages are properly executed;
Requirements:
* Completed elementary education;
* Residence in Currais Novos–RN;
