**Java Software Engineer II – Autonomous Haulage System (AHS)**

**Responsibilities and Tasks**

Develop and evolve the **Autonomous Haulage System (AHS)**, a complete autonomous fleet management system for mining, responsible for centralized control of autonomous trucks via wireless network, high-precision GPS, and obstacle detection systems.
* Lead the design, development, monitoring, and evolution of AHS services, including:
+ Machine coordination
+ Equipment management
+ Navigation planning
+ Collision detection
+ Safeguard management
* Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware Engineering, and global teams.
* Translate product requirements into scalable, modular, and decoupled architectures.
* Define interfaces between components of complex systems.
* Make strategic decisions regarding building, extending, or integrating systems.
* Develop robust technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of team documentation.
* Implement best practices for information security and data privacy.
* Develop automated tests (unit, interface, contract, and system).
* Apply best practices for monitoring and operational excellence.
* Occasional availability for international travel.
**Mandatory Requirements**

* Experience developing complex systems deployed in production.
* Solid experience in **Java** development.
* Leadership experience in system design or architecture (scalability, reliability, design patterns).
* Experience as a technical mentor, Tech Lead, or engineering team leader.
* Advanced English proficiency for working in a global environment.
**Desirable Requirements**

* Experience across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Event-driven microservices architecture.
* Development and consumption of REST APIs.
* Experience with CI/CD and test automation.
