Culture of kindness, collaboration, ethics, and social commitment **\#OurWayRedefinesStories** **About the Opportunity: PHARMACY ASSISTANT** **** * Responsible for fulfilling medical prescription requests by sorting supplies and providing service to meet patient and departmental inventory demands. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Receive returned materials and medications from departments, enter them into the system via barcode scanning, and return them to inventory, with the objective of restoring unused materials and medications to stock. * Receive materials and medications from the procurement department, verify quantities, store them in appropriate locations, perform subdivision, unitization, and labeling of products, aiming to organize inventory, facilitate reordering, and maintain materials and medications ready for deployment to departments as needed. * Fulfill departmental inventory replenishment requests by selecting requested materials and medications via the system, verifying item codes and quantities, and loading delivery carts to restock departmental material and medication inventories. * Based on medical prescriptions received via the system, subdivide oral and injectable solutions into customized packaging for individual patients, aspirating the prescribed quantity, packaging it in barcoded containers labeled with the patient’s name. * Prepare surgical and invasive procedure carts containing kits of materials and medications, based on predetermined procedural descriptions or physician instructions. Kits must be assembled in advance according to procedural specifications to meet physicians’ requirements for items used in procedure rooms. * Return unused items from procedures to the system and restock them into inventory; reassemble kits for future use. * Serve nursing technicians and nurses at the pharmacy window, verifying their material and medication requests to promptly address urgent needs in procedural areas. * Perform all routines associated with electronic dispensary operations, including replenishing medications and materials in dispensary units located across departments, collecting automatically generated orders from dispensary systems, selecting ordered items, and restocking dispensary units with materials and medications—aiming to rapidly fulfill departmental demand and reduce staff traffic at the pharmacy window for urgent requests. * Train clinical staff in units equipped with electronic dispensary systems on proper equipment operation, aiming to familiarize users with the technology so they may efficiently meet patient needs for materials and medications without leaving their assigned areas. * Receive and inspect all consigned materials from external companies to support the facility’s special procedure requirements, and report any shortages. * Conduct physical and systematic audits of total material and medication inventory to maintain inventory accuracy within institutional standards. **Requirements and Qualifications** **What We Need:** * Completed high school education **What May Set You Apart:** * Prior experience in this field **Additional Information** **Our Benefits:** * Transportation Allowance; * On-site cafeteria; * Daycare (subject to availability); * Pharmacy discounts; * Health and Dental Insurance; * Life Insurance; * Challenge Program; * TotalPass; * Birthday Day Off; * Employee House, offering physical activities, massage, and other employee wellness services; * University tuition discounts.
