Job Summary: An Assembly Assistant prepares and assists in attaching the upper to the assembly insole and sole using machines or manual processes. Key Highlights: 1. Responsible for preparing and assisting in the attachment of uppers and soles 2. Sorts and organizes lasts, insoles, uppers, and soles 3. Operates machines to heat glue or bonding materials The Assembly Assistant is responsible for preparing and assisting in the process of attaching the upper (the top part) to the assembly insole and sole using machines or manual processes. **Main Responsibilities** * **Component Preparation:** Sort and organize lasts, insoles, uppers, and soles according to size and production batch. * **Insole Placement:** Attach the assembly insole to the last. * **Use of Ovens and Reactivators:** Operate machines that heat glue or materials to make them pliable and ready for bonding. * **Toe/Side Pulling:** Assist the assembly machine operator in correctly positioning leather on the last to prevent wrinkles or distortions.
