Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Job Summary: A data professional to build and maintain a Datalake on BigQuery (GCP), working across data engineering, governance, analysis/visualization, and data science. Key Highlights: 1. Autonomous work in data engineering, governance, and analysis/visualization. 2. Application of data science techniques and development of ML models. 3. Experience with BigQuery/GCP and batch ingestion pipelines. **Work Mode:** Hybrid (2 days/week) \- Alphaville \- Barueri/SP A data professional to build and maintain a \*Datalake on BigQuery (GCP), ingesting data from an on-premises Oracle database and performing versioned ELT transformations in Git. Will work autonomously across \*data engineering, \*\*governance\* and \*analysis/visualization\*, while simultaneously applying data science techniques, conducting exploratory analyses, developing machine learning models, and creating dashboards. **Requirements:** Technical Skills Advanced SQL\* — window functions, deduplication, DML in BigQuery Python\* — ingestion scripts, pipeline automation, and data analysis BigQuery\* — modeling, machine learning, partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization Google Cloud Platform\* — basic navigation and operation of the console and CLI (gcloud) Git\* — code and transformation versioning Advanced English — reading technical documentation Experience In data projects with \*BigQuery / GCP\* Experience with \*batch ingestion pipelines\* (any stack) Experience with \*ELT/ETL transformations\* across layers (raw, trusted, refined or equivalent) Preferred Qualifications Dataform\* (or dbt) \| Central ELT transformation tool — trainable on GCP Cloud Run\* \| Execution of incremental Python ingestion pipelines BigQuery Data Transfer Service\* \| Full-load ingestion from Oracle Oracle / JDBC\* \| Primary data source (on-premises) **Dataplex / Data Catalog\* \| Governance:** data lineage and metadata cataloging Policy Tags (BQ)\* \| Column-level PII/PCI access control Vertex AI Workbench\* \| Exploratory analyses and ML models Looker / Looker Studio\* \| Analytics visualization and dashboards LGPD\* \| Data pipeline compliance
