Job Summary: A Metalworker Assistant performs metalworking services, preparing materials and assisting with cutting, finishing, painting, installation, and manufacturing of various metal items. Work with ferrous and non-ferrous materials The responsibilities of a Metalworker Assistant include performing metalworking services, preparing materials, work sites, and components; assisting with cutting, finishing, painting, and on-site installation; assisting in the fabrication or repair of boilers, tanks, reservoirs, and other steel-sheet containers; and assisting with cutting, shaping, and processing of ferrous and non-ferrous profiled bars to manufacture windows, doors, grilles, stained-glass panels, and similar components.
