




Job Summary: Hospital-based dental professional for clinical and surgical care of complex patients, performing procedures, and guiding teams. Key Highlights: 1. Outpatient and inpatient clinical and surgical dental care. 2. Dental treatment for systemically compromised patients. 3. Supervision and mentoring of dental residents and students. Provide outpatient and clinical care, bedside care, and procedures performed in the operating room. Clinical-surgical dental care, oral hygiene, and oral adaptation for bedridden and systemically compromised patients. Perform clinical-surgical dental procedures on patients with cardiac conditions, renal disease, syndromes, and systemic compromise. Perform multiple extractions in cardiac patients and abscess drainage. \- Manage the daily outpatient schedule exclusively dedicated to preparing patients for elective cardiac or renal surgeries (restorations, periapical and interproximal radiographs, extractions, subgingival and supragingival scaling). Perform clinical procedures at the bedside, including periapical and interproximal radiographs (for patients with limited or no mobility). Suture removal; Comprehensive dental treatment for very young, non-cooperative, and emergency cardiac pediatric patients in an outpatient setting. Conduct daily illustrative lectures on oral health care: dental caries, periodontal disease, oral cancer, risks of endocarditis, bacteremia, and sepsis in cardiac and renal patients; information on pre- and post-organ transplant patient care. Bedside visits and dental discharge for cardiac and renal patients. Clinical examination of patients at the bedside via interdepartmental consultations in wards. Oral hygiene instruction provided at the bedside. Oral cavity hygiene and adaptation at the bedside for cardiac and renal patients. Perform clinical procedures at the bedside (patients with limited or no mobility). Supervise, guide, and mentor dental residents. Supervise undergraduate students from UFBA and other institutions, providing off-campus internships and activities. Guide research project development and support dissertations and undergraduate theses (TCCs). Develop scientific posters for conferences, seminars, and academic meetings. Write scientific articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Prepare weekly clinical sessions for the entire dental team.
