Maple Bear schools provide a student-centered learning program within a safe and stimulating environment, fostering lifelong passion for learning. **Join our team too!!** **Role**: Responsible for cataloging, organizing, retrieving, and disseminating library collections for students and other school professionals, aiming for continuous knowledge management in alignment with the institution's pedagogical project. **Education**: Completed Bachelor's degree in Library Science with registration at CRB **Knowledge Requirements**: Basic English; Collection Management System; Customer Service; Administrative Routines; Microsoft Office Suite. ü Catalog, process, organize, and retrieve school library collections, making them available to users for serving students and the pedagogical staff; ü Plan acquisition of bibliographic materials jointly with the pedagogical leadership, establishing external contacts with publishers, authors, promoters, and other sources to maintain library updating; ü Promote internal events that encourage creation and maintenance of a cultural environment, per pedagogical guidance; ü Develop educational and cultural activities in the library, where applicable, aiming for systemic professional involvement to achieve optimal institutional outcomes; ü Organize and maintain updated the specific system's database, ensuring collection updating per internal guidelines; ü Be responsible for introducing and orienting students to the library space and collection, where applicable; ü Interact with libraries of other Units to facilitate updating and possible interlibrary loans meeting school users' needs; ü Process material loans and returns, providing necessary reference services; ü Maintain control and conservation of library collections, including conducting physical inventories of libraries semiannually; ü Serve the public (internal and external) courteously and professionally, receiving, informing, and guiding them to deliver comprehensive and differentiated service; ü Perform tasks according to instructions and priorities set by the immediate supervisor, adhering to institutional norms and procedures with quality and safety**;** ü Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment, instruments, assets, and consumables assigned, requesting repairs, maintenance, or replacement from relevant departments whenever necessary; ü Keep the workplace clean and organized, disposing of activity-generated waste in appropriate containers and locations, safeguarding occupational health and environmental aspects; ü Comply with occupational safety regulations, using personal and collective protective equipment; ü Support the immediate supervisor on matters inherent to the area of responsibility, reporting and discussing problems and irregularities to assist in defining required procedures and actions; ü Perform other related duties as requested.
