The Produce Stocker is responsible for ensuring the quality and availability of fruits, vegetables, and greens in the produce department of a supermarket. They must ensure that products are always fresh, well-organized, and visually appealing to customers.
Mandatory Requirement:* High school education in progress;
Desirable Requirements:* Prior experience in this role or related activities;
* Knowledge of food safety regulations;
* Ability to work in a team and interact with the public;
* Organizational skills and attention to detail;
* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:* Receive and inspect produce department merchandise;
* Store fruits, vegetables, and greens properly, following food safety regulations;
* Maintain a clean and organized produce department;
* Daily inspection of product quality and disposal of items failing to meet standards;
* Restock products on shelves, ensuring proper and attractive display;
* Accurately price products;
* Serve and assist customers, answering questions and offering product suggestions;
* Maintain cleanliness and proper care of department equipment and utensils;
* Conduct inventory counts and place restocking orders as needed;
* Participate in company-provided training and development programs.
