Technical reference for plant optimization Brief Description Lead the mining plant performance team, ensuring maximum operational efficiency through continuous process monitoring, key performance indicator (KPI) analysis, and implementation of improvement projects. The professional will serve as the technical reference for plant optimization, responsible for identifying bottlenecks, reducing operational costs, and ensuring production stability and quality. Responsibilities · Supervise the unit’s performance engineering and laboratory specialist teams. · Monitor and analyze plant performance indicators, such as productivity, metal recovery, equipment availability, and costs. · Identify deviations, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in mineral processing operations. · Develop and implement action plans to optimize plant performance, increase productivity, and reduce costs. · Lead root cause analyses to resolve complex operational issues. · Ensure correct application of process control strategies. · Coordinate industrial testing and equipment performance evaluations. · Prepare and present performance reports to coordination and management. · Manage the performance team’s routine, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery. · Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure plant asset reliability and availability. · Supervise the local laboratory to ensure the quality and reliability of analyses supporting process control. Requirements · Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related fields. · Proven experience in operation, control, or optimization of processes in mineral processing plants. · Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) software and PIMS (Plant Information Management System). · Advanced Excel proficiency. · Driver’s license category B. · Willingness to travel.
