**Job Description** This position is for on-site work in Governador Valadares - MG. **Who will you work with?** You will join the Engineering team at Wabtec Corporation’s Governador Valadares unit. In this role, you will become familiar with our challenges and contribute creative, innovative solutions to demonstrate your potential. **How will you make a difference?** As a Mechanical Engineer within the Engineering Department, you will gain comprehensive knowledge of our entire portfolio of solutions and directly contribute to its expansion. You will be on the front line of our technical area and interact directly with other internal departments—such as Production and Supply Chain—and, more importantly, drive interventions to continuously optimize our processes. You will collaborate with people from diverse areas, backgrounds, and experiences—providing opportunities to both learn and teach a wide range of topics. **What do we want to know about you?** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; * Fluent English; * Proficiency in specialized mechanical drawing tools and hydraulic/pneumatic diagram development: Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, and Festo Didactic FluidSIM; * Knowledge of mechanical design, machine elements, and manufacturing processes; * Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and ability to develop projects in these areas; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite to create document templates and reports; * Prior experience with yellow-line equipment (heavy construction machinery) and heavy vehicles; * Willingness to travel. Desirable: * Technical education in related fields such as Mechanics, Electrotechnics, Electroelectronics, or Mechatronics. * Spanish language proficiency, especially for interaction with international clients and partners. * Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and logic systems, with ability to integrate them into mechanical projects. * Experience with advanced mechanical design and structural analysis tools, such as SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, and other similar software. **What will your day-to-day look like?** * Coordination and development of equipment projects focused on railway track maintenance—from concept through technical delivery. * Technical supervision of the design team, guiding project development and conducting technical feasibility analyses. * Development of integrated mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems aligned with equipment mechanisms—in collaboration with the team responsible for electrical, electronic, and logic systems. * Multidisciplinary interaction with internal departments—including Production and Supply Chain—to drive process improvements and technical solutions. * Participation in commercial analyses and opportunity prospecting, contributing technical insights during negotiations with domestic and international customers. **Benefits:** At Wabtec, people come first.
