Strictly follow hygiene standards and protocols Job Description: Hospital Dietary Aide The **hospital dietary aide** is the professional responsible for preparing, organizing, and distributing meals within the hospital setting, ensuring that patients receive appropriate nutrition as prescribed by physicians and in compliance with hygiene standards. Main Responsibilities * Prepare and assemble trays according to prescribed diet. * Verify patient’s name, bed number, and diet type before delivery. * Deliver meals to patient rooms with courtesy and attention. * Collect trays and utensils after meals. * Clean and sanitize utensils, equipment, and work areas. * Monitor food expiration dates and ensure proper storage conditions. * Strictly comply with health surveillance regulations and internal protocols. * Report any observed irregularities (e.g., food refusal, patient difficulties) to the nutrition team. Types of Diets Handled * Liquid diet * Pureed diet * Soft diet * Regular diet * Special diets (low-sodium, diabetic, enteral, etc.) Job Requirements * Completion of elementary education (or secondary education, depending on the institution). * Prior experience in a hospital kitchen (preferred). * Basic knowledge of food hygiene and handling. * Good communication skills and professional demeanor. * Organization, attention to detail, and responsibility.
