We are looking for a talented **Specialized Process Technician** to join our team in **Resende, RJ | CDBS.** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** * Conduct tryouts of new axles and components, performing tests, validations, and necessary adjustments to the production process. * Implement process modifications, evaluating technical impacts (Safety, Ergonomics, Quality, and Efficiency). * Interpret technical drawings, industrial layouts, assembly sheets, and specifications for fixtures and equipment. * Perform chronometric analyses and line balancing to support increased production efficiency. * Apply quality methodologies such as FMEA, MSA, 8D, and Kaizen to solve problems and reduce failures. * Develop and propose continuous improvements focused on productivity, safety, ergonomics, and process stability. * Simultaneously manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines, documentation, and cross-functional communication. * Support technical development with suppliers, ranging from simple fixtures to complex industrial projects. * Support failure analysis and collaborate with preventive, corrective, emergency, and predictive maintenance teams. * Utilize advanced analysis and presentation tools, including Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power Apps. * Train and guide team members, promoting operational best practices and ensuring compliance with standards. * Strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, halting unsafe activities whenever necessary. * Act to achieve the zero-accident target by promoting safe behaviors and reporting hazards. Critical for compliance with NR12 (new and existing equipment). * Serve as a role model and advocate for a clean, organized workplace aligned with 5S practices and proper care of company assets. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems, stabilize material flow, and improve processes. * Support execution and review of procedures, work instructions, and departmental technical documentation. * Monitor operational performance indicators, including Productivity, OEE, and Efficiency. * Track Safety indicators, ensuring control, recording, and response to deviations (pursuit of zero accidents). * Actively collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Maintenance teams to ensure strategic alignment. * Adapt to varying production process demands, maintaining flexibility for additional tasks as required. **Competencies:** * Health and Safety Fundamentals – Proactively advocates and models health and safety behaviors through identification, reporting, and participation in actions aimed at improving health and safety to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace. * Action Oriented – Approaches new opportunities and difficult obstacles with urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. * Communicates Effectively – Develops and delivers communications in various formats to clearly convey understanding tailored to the specific needs of diverse audiences. * Manages Complexity – Makes sense of complex, detailed, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. * Decision Quality – Makes sound, timely decisions to ensure the continued progress of business objectives. * Drives Results – Achieves consistent results, even under challenging circumstances. * Data Acquisition – Prepares samples, verifies equipment calibration, and performs tests according to an approved standard procedure or work instruction to ensure reliable data delivery to engineers or customers. * Data Reporting – Prepares organized documentation presenting test methods, instrument configurations, data, and analyses so engineers and customers can understand results and reach accurate conclusions and recommendations. * Product Functional Test System Design – Interprets test equipment specifications from test standards or customer lab requirements; selects and integrates appropriate equipment, instrumentation, and software to control boundary conditions and collect measurement data; evaluates laboratory equipment capability against requirements and supporting infrastructure. * Test Configuration and Setup – Interprets the test plan to determine optimal location and orientation within a test space per local safety and environmental requirements, and constructs the required system using appropriate materials. * Test Article Creation – Assembles test articles per test requirements, including all necessary accommodations for instruments, in a manner enabling successful functional product testing. * Preventive and Predictive Maintenance – Interprets machine and tool maintenance records and data to develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. * Data Quality – Identifies, understands, and corrects data flaws supporting effective information governance in operational processes and decision-making. * Problem Solving – Solves problems and guides others in effective problem solving using systematic analysis, leveraging industry-standard methodologies to ensure problem traceability and protect the customer; determines root cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; identifies systemic root causes and ensures recommended actions to prevent recurrence are implemented. * Values Differences – Recognizes the value different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization. **To succeed in this role, you will need:** * Knowledge and understanding of electronic torque tool programming, including fault identification and interpretation. * **Required:** Technical education degree with active CRT or CFT registration. * **Preferred:** Experience or knowledge in industrial robot programming (e.g., Staubli, Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Yaskawa). * **Desirable and Preferred:** Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields. * Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power Apps. **Job** Engineering **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** On-site with Flexibility **Job Type** Office **ReqID** 2427669 **Relocation Package** No **100% On-site** Yes Due to the operational nature and specific job duties of this role, work is required to be completed 100% in person/On-site.
