Integration of cross-functional teams to solve problems **About the Team:** * The Landing Gear and Component Manufacturing Engineering team—covering all elements of this complex system—is a specialized field within engineering. Landing gears are critical systems for safe aircraft landings and takeoffs, requiring specialized knowledge for their manufacture. Our team integrates requirements from Structural, Materials, Systems, and Quality Engineering disciplines, translating them into work instructions and procedures for Production. We also ensure all necessary manufacturing resources are provided, with the objectives of minimizing cost and lead time while guaranteeing the highest quality standards. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Your Day-to-Day Will Include:** * Supporting product development and factory operations; * Addressing technical issues and implementing solutions in collaboration with internal departments and suppliers; * Defining, validating, and monitoring special processes (surface treatments, heat treatments, NDT, and painting); * Managing technical relationships with domestic and international suppliers; * Integrating cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve processes; * Participating in the management and tracking of internal performance indicators; * Leading initiatives to increase efficiency and drive operational improvement; * Planning, developing, and implementing improvements to production processes; * Conducting layout, labor, equipment, facility, infrastructure, and process flow studies; * Collaborating with product development to ensure feasibility and manufacturability for high-volume production; * Leading studies and analyses to optimize labor and productive resources. **Requirements and Qualifications** **To succeed in this role, you must have:** * Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields; * Active CREA registration or documentation to obtain it; * Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking); * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; * Knowledge of Lean concepts and tools (VSM, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, TPM, etc.); * Experience in the automotive industry or similar sectors; * Experience in developing special processes (Surface and Thermal Treatments, Non-Destructive Testing, and Painting); * Experience analyzing and dispositioning non-conformities, including corrective actions; * Experience with quality tools (FMEA, Pareto, Histograms, 8D, Ishikawa, 5W1H, etc.). **You’ll Stand Out If You Have:** * Knowledge of R&D in surface and thermal treatments; * Experience managing medium- or high-complexity projects; * Knowledge of Integrated Product Development; * Knowledge of Python programming: script development, process automation, and API integration; * Experience managing and implementing product and process modifications; * Experience developing operation routings; * Advanced Excel experience (including VBA), Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft 365 integration. **Additional Information** On-site work model in São José dos Campos / SP. **Benefits:** * Life Insurance * Health Insurance * Chartered Transportation * Dental Insurance * Vaccination Benefit * Pharmacy Benefit * Gympass * On-site Cafeteria * Chartered Transportation * PLR (Profit and Results Sharing) * Private Pension Plan * Cooperative * EMpower (internal training and development platform) Need support with the Gupy platform?
