Join our team! **Responsibilities:** * **1** Ensure correct implementation of new processes and new molecules at the Site, guaranteeing that all information reaches all involved areas. **2** Simulate plant operating conditions via mass and energy balances to achieve optimal operating cost. **3** Analyze more complex problems by diagnosing failures and guiding/performing repairs and functional tests. Conduct and evaluate failure analyses. **4** Apply statistical tools to process data to facilitate continuous operational improvement. **5** Specify industrial equipment (tanks, pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, etc.), piping, valves, and other components of sanitary industrial installations. **6** Perform activities inherent to the deployment of new equipment and new technologies for new product development, such as: preparing pre-designs with economic feasibility analysis, evaluating available equipment in the market, identifying internally available technology. **7** Actively participate in project and solution development, seeking continuous improvement and total quality. **8** Interface with headquarters in Emeryville and the Campinas PD team to evaluate new processes, anticipate on-site interventions, align with engineering, and initiate SSE to launch projects. **9** Monitor assembly, commissioning, startup, and assisted operation of equipment and industrial and pilot-scale systems. **10** Perform other related duties as required by the department. Perform other related tasks at management’s discretion. **11** Support the industrial area in developing technical training programs. **12** Prepare Automation Datasheets (FDS), perform Functional Safety Assessments (TAF), and address process improvements involving automation interfaces. **13** Engineering focal point for Hazop studies within the operational site area. **14** Lead the site’s Engineering Continuous Improvement Program (Operational Excellence). **15** Participate in audits and support the development of new equipment suppliers. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. * Knowledge of industrial installations, including: + Fermentation and aseptic/sanitary processes; + Troubleshooting critical processes; + Equipment layout and physical arrangement; + Equipment specification (pressure vessels, atmospheric tanks, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc.) and components of industrial installations (piping, valves); + Cleaning systems such as Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP); + General knowledge of utilities (steam, electricity, chilled water, compressed air, etc).
