We seek a proactive **Oracle DBA** to ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our data environments. This professional will be responsible for supporting critical databases, performing performance tuning, ensuring high availability, and advising the development team on best practices for modeling and SQL. **Responsibilities and Duties** * **Installation and Configuration:** Perform setup, upgrades, and patching of Oracle instances (versions 19c and above). * **Monitoring and Performance:** Identify performance bottlenecks using AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports; perform SQL query tuning and instance optimization. * **High Availability:** Administer and configure **Oracle RAC** (Real Application Clusters), **Data Guard**, and **ASM** environments. * **Backup and Recovery:** Define and manage backup strategies using **RMAN**, ensuring strict RPO and RTO policies. * **Security:** Implement access controls, auditing, user management, and security patches (CPU/PSU). * **Automation:** Develop scripts (Shell Script, Python, or Ansible) for automation of routine tasks. **Requirements and Qualifications** **(Hard Skills)** * Solid experience administering Oracle databases in Linux/Unix environments. * Proficiency in **Oracle RAC**, **Data Guard**, and **RMAN**. * In-depth knowledge of **PL/SQL** and multitenant architecture (CDB/PDB). * Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager — OEM). * **Preferred Qualifications:** \* OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) certification. * Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or cloud migration. * Knowledge of GoldenGate or Exadata. **(Soft Skills)** * **Resilience:** Ability to operate under pressure during critical incidents (crises). * **Analytical Mindset:** Focus on root-cause analysis—not just “band-aid” solutions. * **Clear Communication:** Ability to translate technical terms for business stakeholders and collaborate effectively with developers.
