Job Summary: At Jaguacy, a leading avocado company in Brazil, we're seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform diverse lab activities, from hygiene and record-keeping to complex physical-chemical and microbiological analyses. Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related fields. **ABOUT US:** We are Jaguacy, a Brazilian avocado specialist company, and we’re looking for talents like you to build a successful partnership. **LABORATORY ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:** Perform laboratory and equipment cleaning according to daily, weekly, and fortnightly procedures Fill out laboratory routine records Verify balance weights and oven temperatures Check physical inventory against system records Open and monitor procurement and external laboratory service requests Follow GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) guidelines (hygiene and behavioral standards) Separate and collect laboratory waste by recyclable and organic categories Participate in team meetings Collect samples from raw materials, finished products, and field sources Perform physical-chemical and microbiological analyses on raw materials, finished products, and field products Conduct quality inspections Visually verify cleaning of production equipment and utensils Prepare reagents and culture media Prepare utensils and materials Send test reports and technical documents to clients; Perform environmental monitoring analyses (swab and plate exposure) Participate in third-party audits Request and issue laboratory materials Request quotations from external laboratories; Prepare and send samples to external laboratories Archive external test reports Physical-chemical and microbiological analysis of potable water Register invoices Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Deliver technical certification training within the department. As prerequisites, you must hold a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Engineering, or related fields **SALARY:** We offer competitive compensation aligned with the role. **BENEFITS:** Transportation allowance Life insurance Meal voucher (Attendance Bonus) **WORK SCHEDULE:** **Weekly workload:** 44 hours.
