Maintain and perform basic maintenance on the machine The Hydraulic Excavator Operator is responsible for operating heavy excavation equipment on civil construction, mining, earthworks, sanitation, and infrastructure projects. Their primary function is to excavate and move soil, rocks, and other materials safely and precisely, in accordance with technical instructions and safety regulations. * Operate hydraulic excavators for excavation, demolition, material handling, and loading; * + Perform earthwork, trenching, drainage, ditch excavation, and soil leveling; + Conduct daily equipment condition checks before starting work (checklist); + Maintain and perform basic maintenance on the machine, reporting any abnormalities; + Comply with safety, environmental, and occupational health regulations; + Work in accordance with project specifications and instructions from the foreman/supervisor; + Assist in organizing the construction site and marking the operational area.
