This professional must design, develop, and test physical components of computing systems (boards, microcontrollers, processors, peripherals), acting from conception through production, collaborating with software teams and ensuring integration—using CAD tools, C/C\+\+ languages (firmware), and electronics knowledge. Desirable knowledge of tools such as Orcad, Concept, CADENCE, Altium, CAD/CAM, Autocad, and Solidworks. **PCB and Substrate Development Engineer** The PCB and Substrate Development Engineer will be responsible for designing layouts and ensuring electrical connectivity and the physical foundation for components. This includes analyzing and interpreting electrical diagrams to translate them into physical layouts. Ensuring designs comply with manufacturing requirements and industry standards. Guaranteeing trace routing, crosstalk analysis, layer stack-up distribution, simulations, signal integrity, and other aspects. This professional must possess knowledge of tools such as Cadence or Altium to place components and define copper traces and grids that electrically connect them. **Product Simulation Engineer** The Product Simulation Engineer will ensure functionality, signal integrity, and power management of printed circuit boards (PCBs) prior to physical prototyping. They will perform electrical and circuit simulations using computational tools (e.g., HFSS, SIwave) to predict PCB/Substrate behavior under real-world conditions. They will conduct signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analyses to mitigate issues such as noise, electromagnetic interference (EMI), reflections, and voltage drops. This professional must possess expertise in ANSYS tool suites for functional design validation and mechanical simulation tools—applied before prototyping. Preferred educational background: Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. **Firmware Engineer** The Firmware Engineer must develop, test, and maintain low-level software (firmware) that directly controls the device. This professional acts as the interface between hardware and application software, ensuring efficient and reliable device operation. In firmware development, this engineer must write, modify, and optimize C/C\+\+ code for microcontrollers (MCUs) and System-on-Chip (SoC) devices used in semiconductor products. Additionally, they must manage customer requirements and document the entire firmware development and validation process—including optimizing system power consumption and performance, which is critical for embedded and semiconductor devices. Beyond implementing new features, they must consider all stages involved in designing and integrating new functionalities per project requirements. This professional must also possess knowledge of programming languages such as C/C\+\+, JTAG, logic analyzers and oscilloscopes for debugging, RTOS, version control/GIT software, Linux operating system, and Assembly language. Desirable knowledge of LabVIEW. Required experience in embedded software development. **Software Test Engineer** The Software Engineer must interpret and analyze datasheets of current and new products to develop the necessary software for functional testing, ensuring full functionality; Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to verify semiconductor device performance and reliability; Develop and implement automated test scripts and processes to ensure efficient test coverage and enable rapid, repeatable regression testing; Create and maintain test software using programming languages (e.g., C\+\+, Python, etc.) to interface with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). This professional must possess knowledge of .NET, C/C\+\+, C\#, HTML, JavaScript, SQL databases, version control software, Linux operating system, Assembly language, and Python. **Product Engineer** The Product Engineer must possess in-depth knowledge of the product under development and be responsible for the full development lifecycle—from initial concept through product qualification. They must participate in developing new semiconductor devices, working collaboratively with design and research teams to define product specifications and architectures. Design and conduct experiments and simulations to test prototypes, analyze results, and ensure the product meets performance and quality requirements. Investigate and resolve field or production-line product failures, implementing corrective actions.
