Job Summary: A professional responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and safety in the Natural Gas and Biomethane distribution infrastructure through reviewing, developing, and applying standards; conducting technical analyses; and participating in regulatory forums. Ensure regulatory compliance in applications related to the Natural Gas and Biomethane distribution system infrastructure, guaranteeing adherence to applicable regulations and implementation of optimal solutions aimed at distribution system safety, environmental protection, and societal well-being. Ensure demand fulfillment, process compliance, and regulatory adherence. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Review and develop regulatory content by assessing standards and internal engineering documents to standardize and normalize activities related to projects, construction, operation, maintenance, and renewal of Comgás distribution system assets, ensuring compliance with applicable external standards and actively responding to internal demands; * Participate in external regulatory forums as a member of forums related to natural gas, biomethane, and other gas distribution topics, ensuring regulatory compliance regarding national and international legislation and standards, and acting proactively as secretary for standards relevant to the business; * Develop Technical Scopes based on regulatory premises to support service contracting, equipment and material procurement, ensuring appropriate contracting and purchasing aligned with regulatory standards, thereby avoiding damage and risks to the distribution system, environment, and society, while actively serving as secretary for business-relevant standards; * Conduct technical analyses of internal and external requests requiring technical responses and/or approvals for application or deviation from standards, submitted via system or formal methods (e.g., email), to ensure full compliance with engineering, operational and occupational safety standards, and asset lifecycle criteria, as well as internal demand fulfillment; * Develop and evaluate engineering projects according to departmental and internal/external client needs, and assess projects developed by other departments where Engineering team participation is required, including on-demand project execution (Engineering or Operations and Construction departments); * Participate in incident investigations (TRIPOD, RIAI); * Provide support on regulatory matters and solutions; * Approve materials and equipment; * Jointly plan construction activities with Planning departments and ensure execution per the established plan; * Propose and implement improvements to execution, management, and monitoring processes; * Support development of materials and lead safety, integrity, culture, and other discipline-related events for contractor companies; * Provide technical support to internal departments for resolution of network construction issues, including legal, regulatory, institutional, and other areas, preparing materials and compiling data; * Evaluate, validate, control, and measure services, contract performance indicators, and other metrics, preparing reports and presentations on these items; * Comply with, and enforce compliance with, legislation and regulations applicable to the area of responsibility and assigned activities; requirements of quality management systems, the Compliance Program, and the Anti-Bribery Management System; as well as health, hygiene, occupational safety standards and procedures, and use of PPEs/collective protective equipment (PPE/CPE), where required by the activity; * Perform other duties inherent to the position or as directed by superiors, provided such duties align with the employee’s qualifications, knowledge, and experience. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields with active CREA registration; * Experience in related activities; * Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERPs used in the field. **Hybrid Work Model** **Construction Supervision – Interior Regions** **Additional Information** Here, we know that eating well makes all the difference!
