Job Summary: We are seeking a professional to develop and maintain robust APIs for consumption by LLMs, build integrations with the Model Context Protocol, and work on backend development—ensuring security and quality of solutions. Opportunity to drive AI-powered digital transformation at Compass UOL . **Responsibilities and Duties** * Design and maintain robust, secure, and well-documented APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger), optimized for consumption by LLMs via Function Calling and Tool Calling; * Build servers and integrations using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), standardizing and scaling AI model and agent access to internal data and tools; * Develop custom integrations on-demand for business units and the AI team, addressing limitations of No-Code/Low-Code platforms such as Gemini Enterprise and Copilot Studio; * Implement authentication, authorization, and access control layers using standards like OAuth and JWT, ensuring secure operation of autonomous agents in sensitive corporate systems; * Develop and sustain backend solutions following microservices architecture best practices; * Integrate applications with corporate systems, ERPs, databases, and other information sources; * Process and expose information for consumption by applications and services; * Implement observability mechanisms, logging, and error handling tailored for AI agents—enabling clear responses and automated recovery actions; * Implement business logic according to functional requirements and specified solutions; * Ensure code quality, security, technical standardization, and maintainability—adhering to organizational guidelines and standards. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Advanced experience in backend development using Python, Node.js, or Go; * Solid experience with microservices architecture; * Proficiency in building RESTful APIs; * Knowledge and experience with GraphQL; * Experience designing and documenting APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger; * In-depth knowledge of AI agent integration, including Tool Calling, Function Calling, and RAG; * Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or proven ability to work with emerging AI integration protocols; * Hands-on experience deploying and operating APIs in cloud environments—preferably GCP; * Familiarity with services such as API Gateway, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions; * Experience with authentication and authorization using OAuth and JWT; * Knowledge of AgentOps, observability, monitoring, and error handling for applications integrated with LLMs; * Experience integrating corporate systems, ERPs, CRMs, legacy systems, and other data sources; * Ability to collaborate closely with AI specialists and business units—translating functional needs into efficient connectors and integrations; * Investigative mindset and enthusiasm for emerging technologies—demonstrating autonomy in studying documentation, testing solutions, and defining technical standards. **Preferred Qualifications** * Prior experience integrating complex systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or healthcare/clinical systems; * Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments; * Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines Compass UOL is a global firm and part of the AI Revolution Company, together transforming organizations using Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and other of today’s most advanced technologies.
