**Job Description:**
**About the Role**
We are looking for a **Mid-Level Automation Analyst – Windows | PowerShell**, responsible for automating, standardizing, and evolving Microsoft environments, ensuring high availability, stability, security, and governance of routines. This person will be responsible for developing scripts, modules, pipelines, and baselines; supporting medium/high-complexity incidents; and leading technical best practices related to the Windows and PowerShell ecosystems.
**Responsibilities**
* Develop and maintain automations in **PowerShell Core** (scripts, functions, and modules) for provisioning, configuration, and operation of Windows environments.
* Automate operations for **Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services, and IIS**, ensuring standardization and consistency.
* Implement and manage **Desired State Configuration (DSC)** for server baselines and compliance.
* Integrate automations into **CI/CD pipelines** (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI), with version control via Git.
* Apply security controls in automations, including **secure remote execution (WinRM/SSH), JEA, code signing, and secret/vault management**.
* Publish, version, and maintain automation artifacts (PowerShell modules, internal collections, and private repositories).
* Create and maintain **runbooks, flow diagrams, execution standards, and troubleshooting guides**.
* Monitor automated routines, telemetry, logs, and metrics, proposing continuous optimizations.
* Provide **Level 2/3 support** for incidents related to automations and Windows Server.
* Contribute to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and strengthening internal automation practices.
**Mandatory Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Information Systems**, or related fields.
* Strong proficiency in **PowerShell Core 7+**, including modules, classes, remoting, and coding best practices.
* Experience with **Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)**: administration, hardening, and operations.
* Solid knowledge of **Active Directory, GPOs, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and File Services**.
* Hands-on experience with **DSC** (classical/LCM or Guest Configuration/Arc).
* Experience with **Git** (branching, PRs, code reviews).
* Practical experience with **CI/CD tools**: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
* Knowledge of **logging, troubleshooting, telemetry, and event analysis** on Windows.
* Understanding of security applied to automations: **JEA, secure WinRM/SSH, protected credentials**.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Automated testing with **Pester** (unit and integration tests).
* Experience with **Intune** or **MECM/SCCM** for endpoint automation.
* Knowledge of **Ansible for Windows** (win_* modules).
* Experience with Azure: **Az PowerShell, Guest Configuration, Arc, Key Vault, and cloud-based automations**.
* Familiarity with logging and metrics tools: **ELK, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana**.
* Ability to propose technical improvements and automate complex routines.
