Maintenance Technician I

Job Summary: The professional will prepare surfaces for painting, assist in basic building maintenance, and ensure workplace organization and safety. Key Highlights: 1. Perform building maintenance, including repairs and equipment upkeep. 2. Contribute to problem prevention and continuous improvement. 3. Work in compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Prepare internal and external surfaces (walls, ceilings, doors, furniture, metal structures, and masonry) for painting through cleaning, sanding, application of filler and sealers. Assist in preserving and ensuring the proper functioning of building facilities, equipment, and furniture by performing simple repairs and basic maintenance services. Follow procedures and work instructions defined by leadership, ensuring alignment with technical standards and institutional operational standards. Ensure proper use of tools, materials, and equipment under one's responsibility, as well as workplace organization and cleanliness. Respond promptly and diligently to maintenance requests and service calls, reporting execution status or any pending issues to the immediate supervisor. Report identified failures, risks, or irregularities during task execution, contributing to problem prevention and continuous improvement. Conduct visual inspections and tests, under supervision, to assist in identifying failures in building, hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems. Act in accordance with safety, hygiene, environmental, and infection control regulations, respecting current institutional and legal guidelines. Accurately record information related to service orders (materials used, time spent, execution status, acceptance), ensuring traceability of performed activities. Be available, as per on-call schedule, to respond to maintenance calls, ensuring presence at the site within 20 minutes after being notified, when required. Requirements: Completed high school education; Availability to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
