Production Assistant - Machining

Job Summary: This position supports machining operations, including operating drill presses and tapping machines, preparing parts, and reading and interpreting technical drawings. Key Highlights: 1. Reading and interpretation of technical drawings **Responsibilities:** * Assist in machining operations, performing support tasks on lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and tapping machines; * Operate bench drill press and tapping machine under supervision, performing drilling, tapping, and minor finishing as per technical instructions; * Support part preparation, including cleaning, deburring, and organizing materials to be machined; * Read and interpret technical drawings to identify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications for each part; * Assist in visual and dimensional inspection of parts using basic measuring instruments (caliper, tape measure, micrometer, etc.); * Perform production control and recordkeeping as directed by the team leader or supervisor; * Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper care of tools, machines, and equipment; * Comply with company-established safety, quality, and environmental standards; * Support machine operators and production team leaders in various tasks related to the machining process.
