Description
**We are looking for someone to perform the following activities:**
a) Plan, implement, and administer SAN infrastructures, defining architecture, configuring Fibre Channel switches, controllers, HBAs, and storage arrays;
b) Manage provisioning and expansion of volumes, pools, and LUNs, ensuring adequate capacity and performance for servers and applications;
c) Apply storage virtualization, creating dynamic pools, thin provisioning, and tiering policies to optimize resource utilization;
d) Establish and enforce security policies for data at rest and in transit on the SAN, including encryption, zoning, authentication, and access control;
e) Design, deploy, and maintain backup and recovery strategies, selecting hardware (disks, tapes, SSDs) and backup software, configuring schedules, windows, and retention policies;
f) Diagnose and resolve backup/restore incidents, identifying hardware failures, software errors, and data corruption;
g) Administer physical servers (rack, blade, tower), performing installation, configuration, hardening, and lifecycle management;
h) Deploy and manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper\-V, KVM), creating, monitoring, and optimizing virtual machines and high-availability clusters;
i) Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and Linux distributions, ensuring updates, permissions, and service roles;
j) Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar tools, reducing manual effort and increasing process reliability;
k) Monitor server, storage, and network performance and capacity, generating proactive alerts and capacity planning reports;
l) Design, deploy, and operate container platforms, building Docker images and orchestrating Kubernetes clusters in production environments;
m) Manage software-defined networking and storage for containers, configuring overlay networks, persistent volumes, and distributed storage solutions;
n) Implement container security practices, performing resource isolation, vulnerability scanning, access control, and compliance policies;
o) Document configurations, procedures, and incidents, ensuring traceability, regulatory compliance, and knowledge sharing across the team;
**What skills are required:**
a) Be of legal age;
b) Hold a diploma or certificate, duly registered, confirming completion of an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).
c) Possess one of the following certifications:
1\) VCAP certification (VMware Certified Advanced Professional)
2\) CKA certification (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
d) Minimum of 3 (three) years of professional experience covering the following tools and knowledge areas:
d.1\) Storage Area Network (SAN):
d.1\.1\) SAN Architecture: Understanding of physical and logical components of a storage network, including switches, controllers, HBAs (Host Bus Adapters), storage arrays, etc. Storage Protocols: SAN protocols such as Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCoE, NFS, SMB, etc.
d.1\.2\) Storage Provisioning: Provisioning, expanding, and managing storage volumes for servers and applications.
d.1\.3\) Storage Virtualization: Storage virtualization technologies to create virtualized storage pools and dynamic provisioning capabilities.
d.2\) Security: Implementation of security policies to protect sensitive data stored on SANs.
d.3\) Backup:
d.3\.1\) Storage Systems: Understanding of different types of storage systems.
d.3\.2\) Hard drives, storage arrays, tape drives, solid-state drives (SSDs), among others.
d.4\) Information Security: Encryption, authentication, authorization, access control, identity management, and security policies.
d.5\) Data Management: Data management, including classification, indexing, deduplication, compression, and archiving.
d.6\) Problem-Solving Skills: Resolving issues related to backup and data recovery, including identification of hardware failures, software errors, and data corruption.
d.7\) Servers:
d.7\.1\) Server Hardware:
d.7\.2\) Rack-mount, blade, tower, etc., and their respective functionalities and capabilities.
d.7\.3\) Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper\-V, KVM, etc., to create and manage virtual machines (VMs).
d.7\.4\) Operating System: Installation, configuration, and administration of operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.), and their respective server roles.
d.8\) Automation: Automating routine tasks using tools such as PowerShell, Bash scripting, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
d.9\) Monitoring and Diagnostics: Server performance monitoring, problem identification, and effective diagnostics.
d.10\) Containers:
d.10\.1\) Docker and Kubernetes: Docker for application packaging and Kubernetes for large-scale container orchestration and management.
d.10\.2\) Container Deployment: Docker in production environments.
d.10\.3\) Container Networking and Storage: Docker, persistent volumes, distributed container storage, etc.
Compensation: R$6\.404,68 \- R$6\.404,69 per month
