**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced professional to work as a Laser Cutting and Press Brake Machine Operator in our metallurgical production department. The candidate will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and performing first-level maintenance on equipment, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety throughout the process.
**Main Responsibilities**
* Operate laser cutting machines (CO₂, fiber, or similar) according to production orders
* Operate press brakes (CNC/conventional bending presses) for sheet metal forming
* Perform basic programming and parameter adjustment for cutting and bending
* Interpret technical drawings, layouts, and production sheets
* Control quality of produced parts (dimensions, surface finish, tolerances)
* Perform tooling, punch, and die setup
* Carry out preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
* Ensure proper handling and storage of sheets and materials
* Record and report machine failures, defects, and downtime incidents
* Comply with safety regulations, PPE requirements, and internal procedures
**Mandatory Requirements**
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a laser cutting and/or press brake operator
* Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Proficiency in using measuring instruments (calipers, tape measures, etc.)
* Completed high school education
* Demonstrated safety awareness when working with machinery and equipment
**Desirable Qualifications (Preferred)**
* Experience with CAM software for laser programming (e.g., Lantek, Metalix, BYSOFT, TruTops, etc.)
* Knowledge of CNC systems and CNC press brake programming
* Technical course in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field
* Experience with ferrous and non-ferrous metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel)
* NR-12 — Safety in Machinery and Equipment Operations (certified)
Compensation: Starting from R$2\.600,00 per month
