Job Summary: Responsible for identifying, assessing, and minimizing health and safety risks to employees through inspections, training, safety programs, and implementation of protective measures. Conducts lectures and training on accident prevention and fire fighting. Responsible for identifying, assessing, and eliminating/minimizing risks associated with activities that may compromise employee health and safety; through periodic inspections, risk management, training and awareness campaigns, safety procedures and programs, and implementation of individual and collective protective measures. **Responsibilities and Duties** Conduct patrols across all company facilities, inspecting and monitoring working conditions and proper use of safety equipment, verifying compliance with predetermined standards; record abnormalities and incidents and report them to responsible parties via reports, as well as request deadlines for corrective actions for subsequent follow-up. Prepare monthly statistical charts of workplace accidents, specifying injury types, departments, and other relevant data, aiming to compare performance across departments and identify critical areas for improvement. Identify risks of accidents and occupational diseases, proposing protective measures and workplace improvements. Perform/advise on tests of personal protective equipment (PPE), observing applicable regulations, selecting optimal PPE types for each activity to ensure real effectiveness in protecting employees. Participate in and support the Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA) / Occupational Safety Service (PSS), assisting in monthly meetings, clarifying legal aspects, encouraging active participation by members, and promoting an effective CIPA/PSS across all company departments. Deliver and promote lectures and departmental accident prevention campaigns, designing slides, guiding and raising employee awareness about safety; posting posters and charts on bulletin boards, preparing leaflets, lectures, etc. Conduct accident descriptions and analyses by interviewing injured workers, collecting information, verifying causes, and recording findings on standardized forms, aiming to determine root causes, assign responsibilities, and propose corrective or preventive solutions. Develop safety rules and programs for hazardous machinery, equipment, and high-risk activities, verifying operations and functionality onsite to ensure operator safety. Develop, review, and update fire prevention and suppression manuals, section emergency plans, and verify annual changes for employee reference in case of questions during daily activities. Conduct theoretical and practical training and support fire brigades, advising on fire prevention and suppression, firefighter selection, and executing competition programs to prepare for potential emergencies. Support CIPA regarding member nominations, commission inaugurations, voting for employee representatives, document issuance, regional labor office submissions, safety training, inspection scheduling, minutes preparation, and providing clarifications and guidance on legal matters. Maintain control over fire extinguishers and hydrant networks, performing periodic inspections and sending units for retesting and recharging whenever necessary. Plan and execute, jointly with CIPAs, the Internal Week for Accident Prevention (SIPAT), involving all company employees, delivering lectures, designing slides, distributing leaflets, among other activities. Propose collective protective measures; where not feasible or viable, recommend appropriate PPE usage per activity requirements, verifying material approval certificates and responsibility agreements.
