It’s real hands-on work, with a structured learning path and guidance from experienced professionals to help you grow into a fully qualified trailer mechanic. Support basic trailer maintenance activities while undergoing a structured learning process, developing technical skills and discipline in safety, organization, and quality, so that in the future you can work as a trailer mechanic. Your daily responsibilities will include: * Assist in preparing trailers for maintenance, supporting wheel chocking, signage, and bay organization, always under supervision. * Support simple disassembly of components such as wheels, brake linings, and brake drums, following step-by-step instructions from the responsible mechanic. * Help clean parts and components before inspection or reassembly, using appropriate products and tools. * Support replacement of brake linings, brake drums, and basic brake adjustments—only after training and always accompanied by an experienced professional. * Assist in visual inspection of structure, chassis, crossmembers, kingpin, couplings, floor, and bodywork, reporting any anomalies observed. * Support simple electrical tasks, such as replacing bulbs and lamps, under supervision of a qualified mechanic. * Assist in basic trailer tire routines, including supporting tire inflation, identifying visible cuts, and assisting with tire handling. * Retrieve, sort, and organize parts, tools, and materials as directed by the responsible mechanic. * Keep the workplace clean and organized, segregating waste, storing tools, and maintaining equipment. * Support completion of simple checklists and inspection records, noting information as instructed by the technical supervisor. * Properly use all personal protective equipment and follow the company’s established safety guidelines. * Immediately report any hazardous situation, unusual noise, leakage, or unsafe condition observed in the workshop or on the trailer. * Participate in internal training sessions, refresher courses, and technical briefings provided by the company as part of the training pathway. Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:18; Saturdays, 08:00–12:00
