Focus on development and maintenance of critical systems **What We Are Looking For:** =================== We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with advanced Cloud knowledge (especially AWS) to work on strategic projects with our client **(Private Bank)**. The role is within the **Core Card squad**, part of BV's Cards Tribe, focused on developing and maintaining critical systems for the card business. The professional will operate in a modern environment featuring a **microservices-based architecture**, high data volume, and strong requirements for **performance, resilience, and availability**. **Work Modality:** Remote (or Hybrid, depending on the client's adopted modality) – 3 days per week onsite. **Requirements and Qualifications:** * Advanced Java knowledge * Experience with microservices * Experience with REST APIs and JSON * Strong relational database knowledge (SQL, views, procedures) * Experience with CI/CD tools: * Git * Bitbucket * Jenkins * Jira * Urban Code * Experience with agile methodologies * Container knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes) * Experience with monitoring and observability tools: * Datadog * Dynatrace * Elasticsearch * Kibana * Grafana * **Cloud platform experience:** * **AWS** * **Azure** * **Google Cloud** **Responsibilities:** * Develop, maintain, and evolve Java backend applications * Contribute to building and maintaining microservices architectures * Develop and consume REST APIs (JSON) * Work with relational databases, including: * SQL queries * Views * Procedures * Participate in CI/CD processes and automated deployment * Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes * Monitor and optimize production applications using observability tools * Work in an agile environment with multidisciplinary teams * Contribute to cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Ensure good development practices, documentation, and continuous improvement **Differentiators / Desirables** ============================= * AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect – Professional and/or DevOps Engineer – Professional (or Associate with equivalent strong experience) * Multi-cloud knowledge (Azure and/or GCP) * Proven experience with FinOps, cost optimization, and tag governance * Prior experience in the financial sector / cards industry * Experience in high-volume and mission-critical environments * Knowledge of resilient architecture and high availability * Experience with advanced production troubleshooting **Behavioral Description:** ============================= We are looking for someone who: * Enjoys working in teams and is **collaborative** in their responsibilities; * Has **courage** to challenge themselves and go beyond, embracing new growth opportunities; * Transforms ideas into **creative solutions** and pursues quality in all daily activities; * Possesses strong **problem-solving skills**; * Is skilled and comfortable working independently and **managing their own time**; * Is interested in handling technologically **adverse and innovative** situations.
