Obstetric Nurse - Itaparica/BA
Description: * Bachelor's degree in Nursing; * Active COREN registration; * Completed specialization in Obstetrics; * Availability to work rotating shifts in Itaparica-BA; * Hospital experience. * Participate daily in shift handover at the beginning and end of each shift, receiving/informing and evaluating reports on patient progress and significant events, as well as incidents and instructions that may affect the functioning of the delivery unit during the upcoming shift; * Visit all patients at the start of the shift, following shift handover, under the care of your team, to observe their progress and conditions of care, inspect facilities, and obtain/provide necessary or requested information; . Prepare operating/obstetric rooms according to each specific case and supply them with materials required for planned procedures; . Receive the patient and verify the identification wristband, ensuring the patient is properly prepared, and arrange/accommodate the patient in the correct position on the operating/obstetric table; * Assess daily the availability of medications for each patient, as well as supplies, instruments, and linen, arranging replenishments as needed; * Supervise requests for medications and supplies for patient use, ensuring that exactly what was prescribed by the physician is being requested; * Receive and provide initial nursing care to newly admitted patients during your shift, delivering necessary guidance and clarifications; * Develop medication administration schedules and individualized nursing care plans for each patient, considering their respective needs and medical instructions, and monitor their effectiveness; * Guide and supervise the nursing technician team regarding scheduling and correct implementation of nursing procedures for patients, as well as supporting physicians working within your area of responsibility; * Provide nursing care to patients or assist physicians treating them, whether for diagnostic procedures or recovery treatments; * Perform specialized technical nursing procedures, such as administering prescribed medications and performing invasive procedures including urinary catheterization, gastric intubation, and venous puncture; * Monitor each patient’s progress and complications, performing and/or ensuring appropriate entries in medical records and recommended nursing procedures; * Notify the on-duty physician whenever necessary; * Provide information and/or guidance to patients and their families regarding departmental rules and routines. 2512070202191909744
