Join our team. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Design and develop scalable and resilient APIs and microservices in Python; * Lead integration of internal and external systems, ensuring proper communication and functionality among services and applications; * Define architecture, coding, and CI/CD pipeline standards for the squad/backend; * Ensure high availability, security, and performance of backend services; * Mentor and guide Junior and Mid-level developers, promoting engineering best practices; * Propose innovative technical solutions for caching, queues, messaging, and event processing; * Translate business requirements into technical specifications and needs; * Interact with, support, and accompany business and product teams. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Advanced experience in Python programming (Flask, Django, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, pip/Poetry/virtualenv); * Advanced experience with REST APIs, integration with external systems, and messaging; * Solid experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, scalability, and fault tolerance; * Experience with caching and messaging: Redis (Streams/PubSub), RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Google Cloud Pub/Sub, including queue/topic design, retry mechanisms, durability, and event orchestration; * Experience with relational and non-relational databases, complex modeling, and performance optimization; * Experience with cloud computing (preferably GCP) and DevOps practices; * Solid experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines; * Experience with CDN, load balancing, and caching. **Differentiators** * Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes); * Advanced monitoring, structured logging, and observability in distributed systems; * Experience in technical leadership of squads, definition of standards and best practices; * Experience integrating with financial systems/payment gateways and/or banking APIs. **Additional Information** RBS is made of people.
