




A kitchen assistant performs various support tasks in meal preparation and kitchen maintenance, such as washing and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, preparing sauces, cleaning utensils and equipment, and assisting in plating dishes. The assistant is also responsible for organizing the kitchen, including the pantry, and maintaining food hygiene and safety. * Wash, peel, cut, grate, and sort ingredients such as vegetables, meat, grains, etc. * Assist in preparing simple dishes like salads and appetizers under the guidance of a chef or cook * Assist in plating dishes and side dishes. * Keep the kitchen clean and organized by washing utensils, equipment, floors, countertops, dishcloths, and floor cloths. * Check food expiration dates, label, and organize ingredients in the pantry. * Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, and other appliances * Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure food quality and safety. * Measure food and equipment temperatures as required. * Use personal protective equipment when necessary. * Wash dishes and avoid accumulation.
