Job Description
**Join and cut metal alloy parts using welding processes such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), TIG, MIG,** Prepare necessary equipment and accessories for welding and cutting, ensuring workplace safety and organization. Assemble structures or mechanical parts with high precision, operating appropriate equipment. Perform basic operations including measurement, filing, sawing, drilling, sheet metal cutting, among others. Inspect the surface finish of welds on parts, assess weld bead quality regarding stresses, cracks, and deformations, and remove slag and fumes. Organize the workplace by isolating and cleaning the work area, and follow procedures for handling and storing machines, equipment, accessories, and consumables.
Prerequisites
* **Proven experience in welding (MIG/MAG, TIG, SMAW, or other applicable processes).** Experience in heavy boiler fabrication, metal structures, and industrial piping. Prior experience in industries such as oil and gas, pulp and paper, steelmaking, industrial maintenance, or service-providing metallurgical companies.
