With corporate headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, Experian is listed on the London Stock Exchange (EXPN) and is a constituent of the FTSE 100\. **Job Description** ------------------- * Be the technical owner of critical pipelines (ingestion, processing, serving) * Ensure engineering standards: quality, testing, observability, SLAs, and governance * Lead design decisions (scale, performance, cost, security) * Actively drive cost optimization (FinOps) and platform efficiency * Guide and develop engineers (code reviews, mentoring, defining best practices) * Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions * Participate in technical prioritization aligned with the roadmap (balancing technical debt vs. delivery) * Lead critical incident response and operational maturity evolution **Requirements** * Proven experience in data engineering with medallion architecture across end\-to\-end data pipelines * Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala * Hands-on experience with Spark / Databricks (or similar) * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) * Solid knowledge of data modeling (analytical and operational) * Experience with CI/CD, version control, and data engineering best practices **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with large-scale data governance (e.g., Databricks Unity Catalog) * Implementation of Data as a Product / Data Mesh / Embedded Data * Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis) * Data Observability and Data Quality frameworks * Experience with FinOps applied to data * Use of AI to enhance productivity in data engineering **Qualifications** ------------------ * Proven experience in data engineering * Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) * Solid knowledge of data modeling * Experience with CI/CD, version control, and data engineering best practices **Additional Information** -------------------------- Serasa Experian is much more than you imagine.
