We believe that when people from diverse cultures, genders, and perspectives come together, everyone benefits. **Your Day-to-Day at Medtronic** * Drive process, system, or product improvements to enhance departmental performance; * Evaluate suppliers’ internal functions to assess their overall performance and provide feedback during evaluation of their operations; * Collaborate with component engineers to develop and deliver the product acceptance sampling strategy, coordinate the Approved Supplier List, implement Supplier Ownership of Quality (SOQ), and establish control plans for new products; * Define incoming inspection requirements as needed and validate associated test methods for all Medtronic internal testing methods; * Develop and prioritize an audit schedule to ensure designated suppliers are audited regularly to verify compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards; * Provide technical guidance and quality compliance support for Supplier Quality involvement throughout the NPD lifecycle—including qualification of new NPD parts—and implementation of strategies to drive product quality and continuous improvement, ensuring acquired products and components are manufactured and qualified per applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications; * Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes with suppliers; * Monitor parts from procurement through manufacturing, and communicate and resolve supplier-related issues as they arise; * Qualify suppliers according to company standards and manage a Certified Supplier Program for incoming inspection to ensure cost-effectiveness; * Exchange factual information, status updates, ideas, and issues to achieve objectives and influence decision-making; * Follow guidelines and procedures outlined in the Safety, Medical, and Environmental Manual; * Adhere to standards and instructions defined by your immediate supervisor, fulfilling responsibilities specified for your position in the Quality Manual and Quality documents. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; may be substituted by another field of study provided candidate has over 7 years of experience in the healthcare industry. * Advanced knowledge of process improvement tools: CDP, APQP, FMEA, Validation, Minitab, RCA. * Advanced English proficiency in writing, speaking, and reading. * Lean certification preferred (minimum Green Belt). * Practical project management experience or formal training in the field preferred. **About Medtronic** Together, we can transform healthcare worldwide.
