With a mid-level seniority, this role leads teams of technicians and supports the development of maintenance plans, resource control, and failure analysis, driving continuous process improvements and ensuring asset availability. This position is critical to minimizing unplanned downtime, optimizing costs, and maintaining equipment integrity, thereby contributing to organizational productivity. * Supervise daily preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and service quality. * Lead maintenance technician teams, promoting training, motivation, and performance evaluation to ensure high performance and professional development. * Develop and review maintenance plans—including inspections, calibrations, and repairs—aligned with operational needs and safety and quality standards. * Monitor performance indicators such as downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment efficiency, proposing corrective actions and continuous improvements. * Manage material resources and tools required for maintenance activities, controlling inventory levels and initiating procurement when necessary. * Conduct failure and root cause analyses, coordinating corrective actions to prevent recurrence and enhance asset reliability. * Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, promoting team training and awareness campaigns. * Participate in planning and coordination meetings with other departments, aligning maintenance priorities and resources for efficient operations. * Maintain technical documentation, maintenance reports, and inspection records, ensuring compliance and facilitating audits. * Implement and monitor continuous improvement programs using methodologies such as TPM, 5S, and Kaizen to optimize processes and reduce costs. * Manage contracts with external suppliers and service providers, evaluating performance and negotiating terms to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. * Contribute to maintenance budget preparation, controlling expenditures and identifying cost-reduction alternatives without compromising quality. * Participate in safety and quality inspections and audits, promoting corrective and preventive actions. * Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in industrial maintenance, fostering innovation and efficiency.
