Who will you work with? You will join the Engineering team at Wabtec Corporation’s Governador Valadares unit. Within our organization, we develop solutions for our customers in railway track maintenance, understanding their needs and transforming them into unique global projects. We are innovators by nature! Our team comprises engineers, technicians, and designers. One of our core responsibilities is creating structural designs of equipment using specialized software to support subsequent manufacturing processes, as well as performing simulations and tests to verify technical compliance of designs. How will you make a difference? As a designer in the Projects area within the Engineering department, you will be invited to learn our full portfolio of solutions and directly contribute to its expansion. You will interact closely with other internal departments such as Production and Supply Chain, and more importantly, participate in initiatives aimed at continuously optimizing our processes. You will collaborate with people from various disciplines, educational backgrounds, and experiences—providing opportunities to both learn and share knowledge across a wide range of topics. What do we want to know about you?* Technical education in Mechanical, Electrotechnical, Electroelectronics, or Electromechanical fields; or a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering; or currently pursuing such a degree; * Basic knowledge of English and Spanish; * Knowledge of mechanical design, machine elements, and manufacturing processes; * Proficiency in specialized mechanical design tools: Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Autodesk Vault; * Proficiency in other specialized mechanical design and structural analysis tools is a plus (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, etc.); * Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is a plus; * Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications to create document templates and reports is desirable; * Organizational skills and proactivity; * Commitment to diversity and ability to work effectively in teams. What will your day-to-day look like? You will directly model mechanical parts, assemblies, and equipment, including detailing, archiving, and distribution. You will collaborate with the technical team during product conception for railway track maintenance and follow up on their manufacturing.
