We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life, and build sustainable pathways to prosperity. Our work began twenty years ago in the isolated coastal communities of Madagascar and has since expanded globally. In a dozen countries, we partner with traditional fishers and community organizations to design, develop, strengthen, and sustain community-level fisheries management and conservation. We bring our partners together in networks to advocate for reform, and we share tools and best practices to support fishing communities worldwide. ### **Brief Job Description** Blue Ventures is seeking a dynamic and independent Association Support Coordinator with strong management experience and an analytical, strategic mindset. Reporting directly to the Implementation Lead in Maintirano, the successful candidate will possess deep expertise in socio-organizational structures within the conservation sector and a genuine passion for community life in coastal villages. The Coordinator will lead the development of our community-based marine and coastal resource conservation initiatives within the Maintirano Locally Managed Marine Areas (LMMAs). Emphasis will be placed on designing and implementing capacity-strengthening strategies for the VMNB (the local management association). The position is based at our office in Maintirano, with frequent travel to coastal villages, as well as regional and occasional national travel. ### **The full job description is HERE
