Product Development Engineer

Job Summary: The professional will collaborate with Product Engineering in various administrative, technical, and project management activities, ensuring compliance with requirements and standards. Participate in training and development programs Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Product Engineering team in executing daily tasks, such as responding to e\-mails, using software and applications, completing forms, managing documentation, and handling administrative requests; Support activities related to Engineering procedures concerning quotation, release, validation, or product changes, ensuring compliance with delivery, production, manufacturing, quality, volume, and cost requirements of the project; Support, lead, and conduct in-person or virtual meetings as the project owner with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams, responding to requests from managers, peers, and colleagues regarding actions relevant to assigned and related activities; Participate in and contribute to training and development programs that enhance learning and acquire new knowledge pertinent to the job, instructing and training less-experienced colleagues within the immediate team or other departments; Comply with company policies/procedures/standards by performing activities according to established procedures and work instructions related to implemented management systems, ensuring adherence to customer and regulatory requirements while upholding the Aptiv Code of Ethics and Conduct; Maintain order, custody, and preservation of materials and equipment under one's responsibility and of the workplace, as well as organize documentation related to work processes, meeting safety program, 5S, continuous improvement, and Aptiv values, thereby safeguarding a healthy and pleasant work environment for all; Perform other duties related to the role and to one's work process procedures. Familiarity with quality tools, with emphasis on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and knowledge of product development focused on component specification, reading and interpretation of technical standards, reading and interpretation of engineering drawings, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and responsibility for analyzing project input data, preparing quotation responses, and providing information for product release and modification per the project schedule. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering; Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD); Previous experience in this role; Familiarity with technical standards and quality standards; Willingness to work 100% onsite in Paraisópolis – MG.
