Product Development Engineer

Job Summary: Collaborate with the Product Engineering team, support procedural tasks, lead meetings, participate in training, and ensure compliance with policies and standards while managing documentation and work processes. Participation in training and capacity-building Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Product Engineering team on daily activities, such as responding to emails, using software and applications, completing forms, controlling documentation, and handling administrative requests; Provide support for engineering procedure-related tasks concerning quotation, release, validation, or product changes, ensuring fulfillment of delivery, production, manufacturing, quality, volume, and cost requirements of the project; Support, conduct, and lead in-person or virtual meetings as the project owner with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams, addressing requests from managers, peers, and colleagues regarding respective actions pertinent to assigned and related activities; Participate in and contribute to training and capacity-building programs that enhance learning and acquire new job-relevant knowledge, instructing and training less-experienced colleagues within your immediate area or other departments; Comply with company policies/procedures/standards by performing activities according to relevant work instructions and procedures associated with implemented management systems, ensuring adherence to customer and regulatory requirements and safeguarding the Aptiv Code of Ethics and Conduct; Maintain order, custody, and preservation of materials and equipment under your responsibility and of the workplace, as well as maintain organization of documentation related to work processes, meeting requirements of safety programs, 5S, continuous improvement initiatives, and Aptiv values—thereby caring for, protecting, and contributing to a healthy and pleasant work environment for all; Perform other duties related to your role and to procedures within your work process. Must be familiar with quality tools, with emphasis on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and possess knowledge of product development focusing on component specification, reading and interpretation of technical standards, reading and interpretation of engineering drawings, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and responsibility for analyzing project input data, responding to quotations, and providing information for product release and modification according to the planning schedule. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering; Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD); Previous experience in this role; Familiarity with technical standards and quality standards; Willingness to work 100% on-site in Paraisópolis – MG.
