Assist the nurse in planning, scheduling, guiding, and supervising nursing care activities;
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients;
Implement the Nursing Care Systematization plan;
Accompany patient transport under guidance;
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team;
Perform nursing care actions under supervision, observing and documenting the patient's signs and symptoms, performing dressings, fluid balance monitoring, administering medications, and other tasks;
Carry out controls related to each patient's pathology;
Collect specimens for laboratory tests;
Assist in inventory control of supplies, equipment, and medications;
Operate electrodiagnostic devices;
Cooperate with the healthcare team in delivering care, teaching, research, and health education activities;
Prepare patients pre- and post-operatively for surgeries and deliveries;
Assist in urgent and emergency care;
Circulate in surgical and obstetric rooms, preparing the room and surgical instruments, and assisting during surgeries as needed;
Perform procedures related to admission, discharge, transfer, and death;
Maintain the workplace organized, ensuring its preservation and reporting any issues to the nurse;
Assist in routine nursing care services;
Collaborate in developing educational programs, including training auxiliary nursing staff;
Inspect and monitor unit equipment and facilities, reporting to the responsible person;
Assist the nurse in preventing and controlling communicable diseases in general, in epidemiological surveillance programs, and in systematic hospital infection control;
Assist the nurse in systematically preventing and controlling physical injuries that may occur to patients during healthcare delivery;
Perform tasks related to medical-dental surgical interventions, handing instruments to the surgeon and providing other support tasks;
Qualitatively and quantitatively verify surgical instruments after completion of surgeries;
Guide the washing, drying, and sterilization of surgical materials;
Continuously ensure the functional status of surgical room equipment, proposing acquisition of new equipment to replace those no longer fit for use;
Prepare patients for examinations, instructing them on examination requirements;
Record performed electrocardiograms, making relevant annotations;
Perform tasks pertinent to the area of practice using computer equipment and software;
Perform other tasks necessary for sector activities, inherent to the position;
Maintain tools, equipment, and work materials in good condition, keeping the workplace in excellent order, cleanliness, and preservation;
Work in compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
