Manage workshop, suppliers, parts, tires, and costs We are seeking a professional with solid technical expertise and leadership experience to coordinate heavy fleet maintenance, ensuring availability, reliability, and cost control through structured processes and operational discipline. **Job Mission** Ensure maximum fleet availability and reliability through structured management of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, guaranteeing internal workshop efficiency, cost control, and process standardization. **Main Responsibilities** * Maintenance Planning and Control * Plan and execute the preventive maintenance schedule. * Monitor corrective maintenance and identify root causes. * Implement traceability via Service Orders (SOs). * Ensure technical compliance and operational safety of assets. * Workshop and Supplier Management * Manage the internal workshop (SO workflow, productivity, and quality). * Administer external maintenance services and contracts. * Conduct technical negotiations with suppliers. * Parts, Tires, and Cost Management * Manage parts inventory (min/max levels, turnover, inventory counts, and losses). * Implement and monitor tire policy (rotation, retreading, service life, and cost per km). * Prepare annual budget and monitor actual vs. budgeted expenditures. * People Management and Operational Integration * Coordinate technical team (mechanics, assistants, tire technicians, and wash bay staff). * Integrate maintenance with operational scheduling and driver management. * Monitor availability and cost-per-km indicators. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Education:** Completed bachelor’s degree (preferred) or currently pursuing one. **Preferred fields of study:** * Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Production Engineering * Logistics with strong technical experience **Accepted with relevant practical experience:** * Technology degree in Automotive Maintenance * Technical course in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicles **Essential Technical Competencies** * Heavy fleet maintenance (tractors and trailers) * Preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance * Electronic diagnostics and telematics * Workshop management and quality control * Inventory control and parts traceability * Tire management and cost-per-km analysis * Maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, availability) * Maintenance budget management * Technical negotiation with suppliers * Maintenance management systems (ERP or similar) * Basic understanding of TCO and technical feasibility of assets * Safety standards applicable to maintenance **Behavioral Competencies** * Operational discipline and organization * Strong sense of responsibility toward assets * Execution-oriented and results-driven profile * Analytical ability and data-driven decision making * Firm and respectful leadership * Proactive problem-solving * Clear communication with operational departments * Resilience in dynamic environments * Commitment to continuous improvement Employment Type: Full-time CLT Relocation/mobility requirement: * Itajaí, SC: Relocate\-to or move to the job location prior to starting work (Mandatory) Screening Question(s): * What is your salary expectation? * Are you available to work under a PJ (individual contractor) arrangement?
