Nurse to work in the Adult Emergency Department, organizing, supervising, and evaluating nursing care while performing administrative and clinical procedures.

**Requirements:**
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Basic computer skills

Active professional council registration
**Job Mission:** Participate in, organize, supervise, and evaluate nursing care activities; perform administrative and clinical procedures
**Main Responsibilities:**
1\. Stay updated on legal changes related to professional practice and continuing education
Prepare the monthly assignment schedule for nursing technicians according to the updated nursing schedule provided by management
2\. Review team staffing levels based on the nursing schedule and patient acuity
3\. Daily inspection of the emergency cart and critical patient care equipment per institutional standards and protocols
4\. Perform nursing assessments and procedures according to technical training specifications and institutional guidelines, ensuring high-quality, safe, and humanized care
5\. Monitor critically ill and potentially unstable patients closely, performing rigorous clinical surveillance, identifying early signs of deterioration, continuously alerting the medical team, and documenting all care delivered
6\. Conduct triage and risk classification per institutional standards and protocols
7\. Supervise and support nursing technicians in their daily activities
8\. Identify nursing diagnoses and develop care plans per current legislation and institutional standards
9\. Participate in and assist with complex and invasive procedures
10\. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of relevant information in the patient’s medical record
11\. Actively participate in systematic prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and other transmissible diseases
12\. Report notifiable diseases and health conditions, as well as needlestick and sharps injuries involving biological material, per current legislation and institutional protocols
13\. Prevent and control systemic harms that may occur to patients during nursing care
14\. Respond to patient deaths as needed, performing and guiding appropriate procedures and providing support to family members
15\. Provide guidance and support to patients’ families and patients themselves
16\. Provide discharge instructions and necessary referrals, documenting all relevant information in the patient’s medical record
17\. Actively participate in biosafety measures, conducting training and procedures to ensure and minimize occupational accidents
18\. Verify proper functioning of nursing equipment and request repairs when necessary
19\. Request supplies and medications from the warehouse/pharmacy as needed
20\. Conduct shift handover in the Tasy system, reporting pending issues or incidents occurring during the shift
21\. Attend management meetings and monitor operational processes
22\. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing technicians using standardized tools and schedules established by the institution
23\. Assume technical responsibility for all activities within the scope of practice
24\. Perform assessments and procedures per institutional specifications (work instructions, manuals), as well as the Nursing Code of Ethics and Professional Practice Law
