Job Summary: We are seeking an Occupational Safety Technician to ensure worker safety and minimize risks by applying technical standards and safeguarding health and hygiene. Key Highlights: 1. We believe in harnessing the potential of waterways to move our resources and connect South America. **Ready to embark on this journey toward a better future with us?** We are looking for an **Occupational Safety Technician** whose mission is to **ensure worker safety and minimize risks by applying and guiding compliance with technical standards, required safety procedures, as well as addressing occupational health and hygiene matters for the team.** **Responsibilities and Duties** As an **Occupational Safety Technician**, you will be responsible for: * Coordinating, implementing, and supervising safety measures applicable to ongoing construction work, such as proper use of PPE, site protection and hazard signage, correct installation and use of scaffolding, etc. * Ensuring compliance with PGR, PCMSO, and LTCAT requirements. * Diagnosing general conditions of the SESMT department. * Conducting technical analysis of workplace environmental conditions. * Identifying control variables related to diseases, accidents, quality of life, and the environment. * Developing educational initiatives within SESMT. * Participating in the adoption of technologies and work processes. * Investigating accidents. * Delivering onboarding and periodic training sessions. * Monitoring all activities within the Company to ensure adherence to Safety Standards. * Responsible for developing and implementing a Corporate Integrated Management System for quality, EHS, and Sustainability—as well as for the Company’s subsidiaries—aiming for certification aligned with corporate strategy; * Implementing and evaluating corporate Health and Sustainability guidelines and procedures, ensuring their implementation and dissemination across the Company and its subsidiaries to foster a zero-accident culture; * Identifying and providing Human Resources support for the management and sustainability systems to ensure effective system implementation and emergency response support; * Acting as a consultant to other Company departments to mitigate QSEHS-related liability and exposure; * Proactively assessing new acquisitions or assets; ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and standard requirements at federal, state, and municipal levels where the Company operates; * Knowing and applying SSMA standards and procedures. **Requirements and Qualifications** If you have: * Technical Degree in Occupational Safety; * Prior experience in the role is desirable; **Additional Information** **What We Offer?** Flexible working hours and work modalities according to eligibility (on-site); Participation in the PPR (Performance-Based Incentive Program); To support your health, we offer a Health Insurance Plan (extendable to legal dependents), Dental Insurance, Telemedicine, Life Insurance, and Pension Assistance in case of illness or accident; To keep you physically active, we provide Total Pass—a platform granting access to numerous gyms and personal trainers; Meal allowance.
