This professional will maintain plant operations through field activities, including operational inspections, maneuvers during startups and shutdowns, sampling for laboratory analysis—ensuring proper fulfillment of area requirements while complying with safety, quality, and environmental procedures. **Position: Chips Preparation Area Operator** **Area of Operation: Chips Preparation and Log Yard Coordination** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Maintain process functionality by executing instructions received from the Control Room Operator; * Responsible for collecting wood chip samples for analysis and calibrating process instruments; * Contribute to fulfilling factory license conditions by monitoring environmental parameters; * Monitor maintenance according to established schedules, performing equipment startup and shutdown maneuvers, and releasing equipment for maintenance following procedures, operational checklists, and safety regulations; * Maintain equipment availability index and identify maintenance needs for equipment exhibiting deviations, conducting Operational Inspection Routes (OIR); * Follow Veracel safety standards to prevent accidents and reduce risks, conducting the Daily Safety Dialogue (DSD); * Support continuous improvement of processes and activities within the area, contributing to problem identification and resolution; * Contribute to optimizing availability × production × cost for the unit—replacing wood chipper knives, requesting process consumables, and monitoring outsourced operations (cleaning, transportation, and waste); * Keep the workplace clean and organized, supporting personal and operational safety; * Clear blockages caused by lodged logs, operating cranes/chainsaws, and transporting knives, tools, etc., using forklifts; * Support the Process Facilitator (PG) when requested; * Assist in developing and updating area procedures when requested; **Requirements and Qualifications** **What We Expect From You:** * Completed Technical Course in pulp production, mechanics, or related fields; * Driver’s License Category B; * Proactivity; * Self-discipline; * Interpersonal skills. **Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):** * Completed or ongoing Bachelor’s degree; * Experience in pulp production activities; * Knowledge of SAP and PIMS; **Additional Information** **Benefits** Medical assistance Dental assistance Christmas bonus Payroll-deductible loans Workplace gymnastics Private pension plan Variable compensation program On-site cafeteria Life insurance Meal allowance Gympass We are Veracel Celulose.
