Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and quality standards We currently have two opportunities for Underground Mine Construction Coordinators in Itagibá/BA, dedicated to the *Underground Project*—Appian's largest global project. Candidate information collected during recruitment for open positions is rigorously handled in accordance with the LGPD—General Data Protection Law.* **Responsibilities and Duties** * Coordinate tunnel, ramp, gallery, and other underground construction activities, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and quality standards; * Supervise internal and contracted teams at construction fronts, ensuring achievement of physical progress targets (average of 1\.000 m/month in underground mining); * Monitor daily construction progress, validating measurements, progress records, excavation, and ground support; * Support planning and execution of underground infrastructure activities, including ventilation, drainage, and associated electromechanical works; * Contribute to reviewing and adapting execution designs, collaborating with engineering and design teams; * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, especially NR\-22, and promote a “zero accidents” culture across teams; * Control resource, material, and equipment usage, ensuring efficiency and quality in execution; * Track and report physical progress indicators, productivity metrics, and deviations to leadership; * Participate in planning and alignment meetings with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Safety departments; * Support mobilization and demobilization of contracted teams, ensuring appropriate working conditions underground. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Mandatory Requirements (education, experience, technical knowledge, etc.):** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mining Engineering; * Postgraduate degree in Construction Management or related fields in underground mining is desirable; * Proven experience in tunnel and underground construction, preferably in mining; * Demonstrated track record in large-scale underground projects, achieving average progress rates of 1\.000 m/month (mining) and/or 150 m/month (civil works); * Experience leading technical teams, both internal and contracted; * Knowledge of applicable technical and safety standards, particularly NR\-22; * Availability to work rotating shifts; * Proficiency in Ventsim and Deswik software; * Familiarity with MS Project, AutoCAD, and construction monitoring tools; * Advanced Excel skills; * Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar). **Desirable Requirements:** * Experience with execution designs and collaboration with engineering and design teams; * Advanced English proficiency; **Additional Information** Residency in Itagibá/BA is mandatory for work at the Santa Rita Mine.
