Conduct detailed surface preparation prior to painting **Description:** Our Maintenance team within the institution aims to provide all members and visitors with access to safe, comfortable, and functional temples and buildings. Responsibilities Inspect the work to be performed, observing measurements, positioning, and condition of surfaces to be painted, determining procedures and materials to be used. Prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning, brushing, and removing old paint or damaged areas using scrapers, sandpaper, solvents, and air jets to eliminate residues, as well as retouching flaws and seams to correct defects and improve paint adhesion. Prepare painting materials by mixing paints, pigments, oil, diluents, and drying agents in appropriate proportions to achieve specified color and quality. Paint surfaces by applying one or multiple coats of paint using rollers, brushes, or paint spray guns. Perform other duties relevant to the position. Requirements High school or elementary education. Relevant work experience required. Professional training or certification in the field is desirable. Valid NR35 certification is required. Willingness to travel within the state.
