Job Summary: A professional responsible for storing, picking, verifying, and restocking merchandise; maintaining organization and cleanliness in the sales area; assisting customers; and performing warehouse operational tasks. Assisting with inventory operations and customer service **Job Description:** * Store merchandise; * Pick merchandise for inventory count; * Verify merchandise prices against price change lists and promotional item lists; * Maintain cleanliness of displayed merchandise, gondolas, and additional display points; * Inspect product conditions in the sales area (expiration date, packaging, physical state), collecting unsuitable items; * Restock merchandise according to store layout; * Affix price labels on gondola headers and merchandise per company standards and regulations; * Highlight promotional merchandise; * Install and remove promotional materials; * Escort customers to desired merchandise; * Assist with unloading merchandise from trucks using hydraulic equipment; * Verify merchandise against invoices and purchase orders per invoice copy (quantity, weight, price, expiration date); * Transport merchandise from the warehouse using carts and platforms, observing load limits; * Assist with product returns; * Identify stock shortages, record them, and report to department supervisor; * Set up additional display points and gondola ends; * Attend to promoters and supervise their work in-store; * Enter cold storage chambers to retrieve merchandise; * Clean gondolas, counters, islands, and cold storage chambers; package meats, deli items, and similar products.
