This position involves overseeing various aspects of project development, from conception through to completion, ensuring all projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Project Engineer collaborates with cross\-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality, management, and Regional Engineering Centres of Excellence, to achieve project objectives and contribute to the overall site efficiency and success. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Engineering Design and Documentation:** * Oversee engineering project development, specifications, process flows, P\&IDs, and drawings. * Maintain project documentation, including technical drawings, project manuals, and reports. * Collaborate with internal resources, external engineering firms, or consultants as required. * Prepare tender documents, technical alignment materials, and support for Barry Callebaut’s Procurement Department. **Project Planning and Coordination:** * Manage CAPEX projects, leading the change process for all projects under your responsibility. * Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with stakeholders. * Track deliverables. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. * Ensure projects comply with global and local standards and regulations. **Quality and SHE Compliance:** * Implement and adhere to food safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. * Ensure compliance with all SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) topics. * Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment. **Stakeholder Communication:** * Communicate project updates and progress to the Technical Manager and Plant Leadership Team. * Collaborate with various departments to address concerns, provide solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. * Conduct regular project meetings to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged. **Project Execution and Monitoring:** * Supervise project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. * Monitor project milestones and provide regular status reports to the Engineering Manager. * Identify and resolve any issues arising during project implementation. **Scope:** * Based locally; may be shared across sites and may require travel. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related fields). **Languages:** Advanced English. **Knowledge:** 2D CAD (proficiency), 3D CAD (basic), MS Office, SAP, engineering and process automation software. **Experience:** Process industry, project management, team leadership, basic accounting and budgeting knowledge. **Skills:** Communication, interpersonal skills, time management, ability to work under pressure, proactivity, problem solving. **Preferred Qualification:** Experience in the food industry.
