We are seeking a **Senior Process Safety Engineer** to work on oil & gas projects, with a focus on detailed and execution engineering for refineries, chemical plants, and industrial facilities. **Requirements** * Academic degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field (active CREA registration). * Solid experience in **Process Safety** on industrial oil & gas projects. * Experience in **fire protection engineering** and applicable standards. * Knowledge of international standards and best practices (API, NFPA, OSHA, IEC 61511, CCPS). * Knowledge of Fire Department Technical Instructions for the states of Pará, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and Ceará. * Training in local fire-fighting regulations. * Experience in risk analysis (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, BowTie, What-if). * Advanced English (required, with emphasis on technical reading, reporting, and communication). * Desirable experience in occupational safety. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Desirable experience with simulation and risk analysis software (PHA-Pro, PHAWorks, Safeti, among others). ### **Skills** * Strong ability to integrate with multidisciplinary teams. * Technical leadership and support for project decision-making. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Ability to operate in high-criticality environments and comply with SMS/QSMS requirements. ### **Responsibilities** * Conduct and participate in risk analysis and management studies (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, etc.). * Develop, review, and validate process safety and fire protection technical documentation. * Ensure project compliance with international standards, local regulatory requirements, and client specifications. * Support integration across engineering disciplines with a focus on safe solutions. * Provide technical support during project meetings, safety reviews, and interfaces with clients and regulatory bodies. * Evaluate risk mitigation measures and propose appropriate safeguards. * Support construction and commissioning teams on process safety-related topics. * Promote a safety culture throughout all project phases. **Location:** Rio de Janeiro, RJ (On-site) **Moving forward together** We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can speak up, and will be heard.
