Job Summary: The Data Scientist is responsible for executing Advanced Analytics/Artificial Intelligence (AA/AI) initiatives to implement systemic solutions based on methods and algorithms, supporting business areas and driving a data-driven culture. Check whether this opportunity matches your profile and join us in this selection journey! **Responsibilities and Duties** * Execute Advanced Analytics/Artificial Intelligence (AA/AI) initiatives to implement systemic (predictive and prescriptive) solutions based on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and/or Optimization methods, techniques, and algorithms; * Support and assist the company’s various business areas, promoting a data-driven culture; * Interact directly with the Data Engineering team to obtain necessary guidance and support for developing data-driven products; * Prepare reports on studies, analyses, and results related to developed inference models, serving as a subject-matter expert for these solutions; * Research, develop, test, and deploy analytical (predictive and prescriptive) solutions based on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, LLMs, and Optimization methods, techniques, and algorithms, aiming at proactive management across the company’s diverse businesses — for example: irregularity investigation and fraud detection (combating commercial losses); customer delinquency identification, prevention, and reduction; energy price forecasting; electrical energy demand forecasting; equipment monitoring for predictive maintenance; supply chain optimization; optimal allocation of human resources in projects; vehicle route optimization; customer eligibility, risk, and scoring assessment; image recognition; text and web mining; customer segmentation and classification, etc.; * Apply data visualization and statistical techniques for preliminary analysis (pre-processing) of diverse, voluminous structured or unstructured datasets considered as candidate data sources for Machine Learning/Deep Learning/Optimization algorithms; * Continuously improve techniques applied to predictive and prescriptive models, including planning and preparing new and customized reports aligned with business-area customers’ needs; * Participate in identifying new strategic opportunities for the Group that may be supported by AA/AI solutions; * Deliver oral presentations to operational and executive-level audiences regarding projects, analyses, and studies under your responsibility; * Periodically report progress of activities and deliverables to your supervisors; * Perform other tasks of similar nature and complexity level, such as descriptive analyses. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree completed in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or related fields; * Demonstrated knowledge and experience with *Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and LLMs* methods, techniques, and algorithms; * Demonstrated knowledge and experience with statistical decision-support methods: probability and statistical inference; as well as foundational knowledge in stochastic processes, inference, probability theory, multivariate statistics, general modeling, queueing theory, among others; * Ability to interpret results and assess the theoretical suitability of developed solutions, generating reliable, theoretically grounded insights for decision-making; * Proactive in identifying business opportunities through data and proposing new solutions; * Demonstrated experience with some of the following tools: preferably Python; R; SQL; Cloud Computing, with preference for Microsoft Azure (Databricks and Azure Machine Learning); * Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies; * Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to professionals from other functional areas; * Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to lead joint requirement-gathering sessions with business areas. * English **What Will Be Considered as a Plus:** * Length and relevance of *AA/AI* initiatives you have led as a Data Scientist; * Postgraduate degree in Data Science; * Experience in the Electricity Sector. **Additional Information** People are our greatest ENERGY.
